Why Use a Dermatopathologist and ADPA?Dermatopathologists are physicians with special training and expertise in the interpretation of skin biopsies. This additional training follows the completion of a full residency program in either dermatology (Dr. Wade), or pathology (Dr. Lee), or in some cases, training in both of these specialties (Dr. Milde). Having such specialized training allows us to use expert clinicopathological correlation in making histologic interpretations of benign or malignant neoplasms, such as malignant melanoma, as well as inflammatory dermatoses. In doing so, you as the referring physician, will benefit from accurate diagnoses and consequently your patients will benefit from appropriate treatment. ADPA, as a private, independent laboratory, specializes in the practice of dermatopathology. Our goal is to provide our referring physicians with unparalleled expertise in diagnosing skin lesions of all types in a timely fashion while not sacrificing detail or personal attention. In addition, as a privately owned and operated facility, our policies and procedures are not determined or dictated by any outside corporation or stockholders. |
